Lands of Mystery
Serpent Lake is a body of water that furnishes the only barrier between the unliving horrors of the Harrowfen and the wilds of Felgrim Heath. Its effectiveness as a barrier is debatable, as undead creatures don’t need to swim, or breathe, to cross the waters.
A cabal of reclusive druids and their snake companions have set up a shrine on the lake’s dividing peninsula and seem to take delight in driving back the abominations to the south.
Serpent Lake provides the headwaters for the Murkmire River, which winds its way west and south.
